A Vibe Kanban alternative with a phone app for Android and iPhone

As of October 28, 2026

Vibe Kanban runs coding agents in parallel, Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI among ten, each workspace with its own branch, terminal and dev server, from a local server you open in your browser or from its desktop app. Bloop, the company behind it, shut down on April 10, 2026, and as of October 28, 2026, its site says Vibe Kanban is sunsetting and will continue as open source, community maintained. Moontors is an agentic development environment (ADE) that runs Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI side by side, in a desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux.

Vibe Kanban:

Moontors:

  • every session on one board, each card streaming its agent’s work as it happens, where Vibe Kanban retired its kanban board in version 0.1.44;
  • an app for Android and iPhone, on Google Play and the App Store, that follows and answers your computer's own sessions over a link encrypted end to end, which no Moontors server can read;
  • Moontors itself sends no telemetry; each agent's own usage data follows that agent's settings.
  • You want an open-source app.
  • You use agents beyond Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI.
  • One task spans several repositories.
  • You want to preview and inspect your app in a browser beside the agents.
  • You’d rather run it on a server and open it from anywhere in a browser.

Its company has, and the project goes on without it. Bloop, the company behind Vibe Kanban, shut down on April 10, 2026, saying the project would live on, open source and community maintained, and as of October 28, 2026, Vibe Kanban’s site says it is sunsetting and will continue that way. Its remote services, its kanban issues, comments, projects and organisations among them, went 30 days after, and its local workspaces carry on. Its repository has taken changes since, the latest on October 26, 2026.

It’s gone from the app. Its kanban issues were among the remote services removed after the shutdown, and Vibe Kanban’s version 0.1.44 replaced the board with a page for exporting your data. Its workspaces, where the agents run, still work. Moontors keeps every session on one board, each card streaming its agent’s work.
