Moontors 0.6.0
Released October 12, 2026.
Moontors, the agentic development environment (ADE) for Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI, now comes with you: Moontors for Android is on Google Play, so you can follow your sessions and answer them from your phone. The iPhone app is coming soon. Each session also has its own terminals now.
What’s new:
- Moontors for Android, on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moontors.mobile. It shows the board and every session your computer runs, and works on them from your phone: answer permission asks, an agent’s questions and plans, send messages with photos and files, and switch a session’s mode, model and effort.
- Pair your phone once, from Phones at the top of the window: choose Pair a phone, then scan the code it shows, or choose your computer on the phone and type the code. Moontors asks you to allow the phone, with a match to check on both.
- The phone reaches your computer on the same Wi-Fi, or through Tailscale or another VPN your computer is on, over a connection encrypted end to end to your computer’s own key. There’s no Moontors account and no Moontors server between them, and the app sends nothing anywhere else.
- Phones lists each paired phone, with when it paired and last connected. Remove one, or Forget all phones to unpair them all and give your computer a new identity.
- The phone app needs Moontors 0.6.0 or newer on your Mac, Windows or Linux computer. Without one, See a demo on its first screen opens it on sample sessions.
- Each session has its own terminals: shells in the session’s folder, or its worktree, in tabs, beside the agent’s work. The Terminal button, under Diff at the window’s right edge, opens them.
- Terminals belong to Moontors’ background service, as sessions do, so they keep running when you close the window or quit Moontors. Archiving or deleting a session, and restarting to update, say how many running terminals they end.
- A link in a terminal opens in your browser, https only.
The macOS and Windows builds still aren’t signed, so each asks once before it opens, and macOS updates through its download page for now. The README’s “First launch” and “Updates” sections say what to expect on each platform.
