# Moontors 0.7.8

Released October 28, 2026.

Moontors, the agentic development environment (ADE) for Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI, now runs Claude Code 2.1.311, Codex 0.164.0 and Gemini CLI 0.65.0. A new session's bell starts on, several sessions can share one notification for when they're all done, Settings is in tabs, and on the phone the board's top is one row and an image pastes into the composer.

What's new:

- Every new session's bell, **Tell me when it's done**, starts on, a fork's too, so Moontors tells you when it's done, and its card shows the bell; click it to turn it off. A session made before keeps its bell as it was. A notification now comes only while none of Moontors' windows has the focus: one that comes while you're in Moontors is dropped, never shown later. See [Notifications](https://moontors.com/docs/sessions-and-board/#notifications).
- Notification groups: to hear once when several sessions are all done, right-click a session's bell, or press the menu key or Shift+F10 on it, check the sessions to join, which a filter narrows by title, and choose **Apply**. Each of them shows the group's bell, two bells ringing, and Moontors notifies you once, with their titles, as the last of them is done; clicking that notification opens the one that finished last. Clicking a group's bell, or archiving its session, takes that session out. See [Notifications](https://moontors.com/docs/sessions-and-board/#notifications).
- **Settings** is in four tabs, **New Session**, **Board**, **Rephrase button** and **Files**, one shown at a time, and opens again on the tab you left, each as far down as you left it, while Moontors' window stays open. At the right of its heading is the version of Moontors you're running, with the commit it was built from. See [Settings](https://moontors.com/docs/settings/#opening-it).
- The **Accounts** dialog keeps its title and its foot in place while the agents scroll between them, and its foot shows the version of Moontors you're running at the left, **Close** at the right. See [Accounts](https://moontors.com/docs/sign-in/#accounts).
- Files, Git, the terminal and the plan open over the board and the panel on a solid background, the board's circuit lines on the panel's colour, so a card or the transcript moving behind them no longer shows through.
- What's chosen among its like is filled the same way everywhere, more strongly than a hover: the Git graph's chosen commit and a commit's chosen file, the active option in Go to File and the composer's lists, the Files tree's current row, a chosen tab, a pressed button at the window's right edge, and the menu row the arrow keys are on. On the phone, so is a question's choice once taken. See [Git](https://moontors.com/docs/diff-and-files/#git).
- A message to or from another session shows grey in the transcript, as thinking does, on the computer and the phone; an edit, a file written, a skill and a subagent's work stay in full white. See [What the transcript shows](https://moontors.com/docs/sessions-transcript/#what-the-transcript-shows).
- An Agent call a subagent of Claude Code's makes opens to the report its own subagent gave back, without the lines Claude Code puts around it for its model, such as the agent's id and its token usage, or the list of the subagent's tools Claude Code 2.1.311 adds. See [Tools and subagents](https://moontors.com/docs/sessions-tools/).
- In the Git view, choosing a branch, a remote branch, a tag, a stash, a worktree or a parent gives its commit's row the keyboard's focus and scrolls its dot into view, sideways too, so the arrow keys go on from it at once. **Close the file** brings the graph back as you left it, scrolled where it was and its find kept, with the chosen commit's row focused. See [Git](https://moontors.com/docs/diff-and-files/#git).
- Moontors keeps only the agent versions it runs: an older version of Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI goes each time Moontors' background service starts, not only once a newer one is installed, so one left behind frees your disk at the next start. See [Installing the agent](https://moontors.com/docs/sign-in/#installing-the-agent).
- On the phone, the board's top is one row, as your computer's header: the Moontors moon and name, the tags for your sessions' states, then **Archived**, now the box icon, and **Accounts** with its rings. When they don't fit, the whole row scrolls sideways. See [The board](https://moontors.com/docs/phone/#the-board).
- On the phone, paste an image into the message: touch and hold it, then **Paste**, or on Android insert one from the keyboard, as from Gboard's clipboard. It attaches as `Pasted image 1.png`, then `Pasted image 2.png`, a JPEG as `.jpg`, as on your computer, where the session's agent takes files; text still pastes as text. See [Attaching files](https://moontors.com/docs/phone/#attaching-files).
- On the phone, the app's version shows at the left of **Accounts**' foot, and on the pairing screen under **Terms of Use** and **Privacy Policy**. An account's name and status, and each of its facts, read whole at any text size, one under the other where they don't fit side by side, and pressing beside a sheet to close it shades the whole screen around it.
- The phone's demo says "Sample sessions as your computer would run them. Nothing runs on this device, and nothing here reaches a real computer.", and at large text its words read whole, **Back to pairing** going under them where they don't fit beside it. See [The demo](https://moontors.com/docs/phone/#the-demo).
- On moontors.com, three more comparisons: [Paradev, formerly Superset](https://moontors.com/docs/compare/paradev/), [Vibe Kanban](https://moontors.com/docs/compare/vibe-kanban/) and [opcode, formerly Claudia](https://moontors.com/docs/compare/opcode/). The site's sitemap now gives each guide and policy its last change, so search engines can tell which pages changed.
- Fixed: reading an archived session from **Archived** opens its transcript at the newest line, as the panel does, and it scrolls up to the older ones; a long **Archived** list scrolls under its heading. See [Archiving and deleting](https://moontors.com/docs/archiving-and-deleting/).

The Windows and Linux builds still aren't signed, so Windows asks once before Moontors opens. The README's "First launch" and "Updates" sections say what to expect on each platform.
